Aleana Savage

Ph.D. Student | University of Michigan | she/her

Aleana is a first-year PhD student in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department at the University of Michigan. After several summers of assisting with bat research field efforts, Aleana completed her Masters in Biology at Missouri State University. Her previous research experience focused on behavior of urban and non-urban bats, viral diversity in Missouri bats, and phylogeny of the red squirrel. She is really intrigued by bat- ectoparasite population dynamics and how they might be impacted by land use change.
